Charlee Huffman

Charlee Huffman taught in the Comparative Religion program at Hunter College for approximately a decade. It was a delicious experience. Then she did some indigenous language revitalization work in Okla’homma for a couple of years, also yummy. She now resides in the foothills of the big rocky mountains, at the western end of the Plains, in the occupied lands of the Cheyenne, Ute, and the Jicarilla Apache; a place where her elders say her people used to come for adventure and healing. A place where she nurses her aching neurons and learns more than she teaches, writing, thinking and loving everyday. She also has degrees, naturally. One is Ivy League.

Past Olios with Charlee Huffman

Heart in Hand: From Playboy to Poetry

In this old school “how to” we will focus on “depth, not breadth,” in our relationship with ourselves, each other, and institutions. What does it mean to be “removed” from society? How do we connect and sustain ourselves and each other through that removal? How do we bridge the gap? And, is phone sex really safe sex?
