Listen to everything all the time and remind yourself when you are not listening. We'll begin the evening by talking about different modes of listening as advocated by composers like Copland, Bernstein, and Oliveros, and jump into a listening of Alvin Lucier's I am Sitting in a Room before delving into a non-stop listening of Glass's Glassworks. Come in comfortable clothing (read: pajamas) and prepare to sink into your auditory surroundings for this one-of-a-kind Olio event.

Think Olio is here to put the liberation back into the liberal arts.
